After their marriage, Charles and Marie (Keltz) Schrader Lived in Lisle. They had nine children. Four of their children, Charles, Jr., Howard, Louise, and William, and stayed in the Romeoville area and raised their families. Charles worked on different farms, also supplementing his income making fence poles for local farmers, using trees specifically planted for that purpose. They moved to DuPage Township and rented a house on the Island in Romeoville. Around 1913 they moved to a house located by the Alton tracks. Daughter Louise married into the Heeg family. (See Heeg.)
